The Great American Eclipse is tomorrow!

Here are a couple quick facts about it:

1. This will be the first total solar eclipse in the continental U.S. in 7 years.

2. A solar eclipse occurs when the Sun, the Moon, and Earth are aligned, or in syzygy.

3. A solar eclipse is when the Sun is covered by the moon. Think of it like Solar > Sol > Sun.

4. Therefore, a lunar eclipse is when the moon is covered by the Earth. Lunar > moon.

5. The last solar exclipse happened across the United States as well in 2017.

6. The cross point at which these 2 eclipses cross is an area in southern Illinois called Little Egypt.

7. It will be crossing over 7 cities here in America called Ninevah, you know, like the one Jonah traveled to in the Bible to emplore them to turn from their wicked ways.

8. The intersection of the 2017 and 2024 solar eclipses occurs directly over the New Madrid Fault Line, a major seismic zone.

9. This year's eclipse will enter the USA through Texas and exit through Maine

10. The next total solar eclipse over the continental U.S. requires a 20-year wait until August 23, 2044. That one is visible only in Montana and North Dakota. Great total solar eclipses follow in 2045 and 2078.

Some people may call this crazy, but there's also something to be learned here... Opportunity is everywhere, if you look for it.

Some may have this instinct, but thankfully this is a learnable skill. A simple reframing of the mind. Being taught to look for opportunity and ask "how can I?" vs saying "I can't..."
